INTERN (SUMMER CYCLE)

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for highly motivated candidates to apply to join our company as an Intern. The Intern will use their communication, research, and data management abilities in our internship program. The Intern will report to the Director of Travel, Director of Hospitality, or Chief Operating Officer. 

Internship Overview:  

  • After one week of training, the Intern will rotate through the following areas of Four Hundred, spending three weeks at each area: 

  • Travel department 

  • Hospitality department  

  • Business Operations + Accounting departments 

Internship Timing: 

  • June 2nd – August 8th, 2025 

    • Application Deadline: April 10th, 2025 at 12:00PM ET 

Internship Schedule:  

  • 11:00AM – 7:00PM ET, Monday through Friday 

Internship Work Location:  

  • The work location for the internship can be (up to the intern’s preference) either fully remote or hybrid

  • For the hybrid option, the internship will be based out of our office in New York City (Manhattan). For this option, the intern’s schedule will be: 

  • In-person at our office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 

  • Work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays 

Internship Important Notes: 

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. 

  • Four Hundred will not provide financial assistance towards any relocation-related costs for the internship. 

  • The Intern’s supervisor will rotate, and will be based on the Intern’s point in the rotation:  

  • Business Operations + Accounting | Chief Operating Officer 

  • Travel | Director of Travel 

  • Hospitality | Director of Hospitality 

  • Juneteenth (June 19th) and Independence Day (July 4th) are company holidays. 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  • Develop an understanding of the day-to-day processes and procedures of a luxury travel agency and concierge service 

  • Grow customer service skills by communicating with vendors and/or members in our fast-paced ecosystem 

  • Utilize research abilities to discover insights in the travel and hospitality industries 

  • Learn how Four Hundred operates within our CRM, Salesforce, and establish an understanding of Salesforce and/or Sabre. 


RESPONSIBILITIES

Travel department: 

  • Create digital itineraries 

  • Communicate via email, phone, and video call with colleagues and vendors, and possibly participate in team communication with members 

  • Take notes during meetings 

  • Draft emails and proposals for colleagues 

  • Research global destination and travel trends 

  • Enter data into Salesforce  

Hospitality department: 

  • Assist in the coordination of Hospitality requests for members  

  • Communicate effectively with members, vendors, and colleagues  

  • Research trends and insider-knowledge on restaurants/lifestyle in key destinations  

  • Provide administrative support to the Hospitality department 

  • Maintain information in Salesforce, such as by entering data into the platform, or cleaning up existing data 

Business Operations + Accounting departments:  

  • Learn Salesforce administrative tasks, such as: 

  • Commission tracking 

  • A/R payment posting 

  • Maintaining data entries through reports and dashboards 

  • Shadow the Chief Operating Officer, Controller, Junior Bookkeeper, and/or Operations Admin in meetings and projects 

  • Manage and complete operations and/or accounting-focused projects 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program 

  • Hard-working, flexible, and a quick learner 

  • Possess strong attention to detail in all tasks, and maintain confidentiality consistently 

  • Excellent communication and time-management skills 

  • Enjoy working in fast-paced environments 

  • Interested in pursuing a career in travel and/or hospitality industries 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 and Zoom 

  • Experienced with/will be able to learn Salesforce, Tres Technologies, and AXUS Travel App 

PAY 

This position pays in accordance with the current state minimum wage in which the Intern is located. Payment will be made on a bi-weekly basis.
